National Parks Conservation Association is the nation's premier advocacy group for our national parks, monuments and preserves, and publish a quarterly magazine devoted to national park issues. Northwest Forest Conservancy is a Clackamas County-based organization focused on several conservation and historic preservations projects in the Mount Hood area.
SOLV is Oregon's largest volunteer organization, best known for its annual beach cleanup effort. SOLV organizes hundreds of cleanup projects across the state each year. 1000 Friends of Oregon is the state's leading land use watchdog. Like SOLV, the Friends were founded by former Governor Tom McCall to help preserve Oregon's unspoiled character.
